Healthy eating
Food and water keep our bodies alive and growing and it's important we eat different types of food. You may have heard people talk about having a balanced diet - have you seen the "eatwell plate"?

You'll see that we need to eat:
- plenty of fruit and vegetables
- plenty of bread, rice, potatoes, pasta and other starchy foods - choose wholegrain varieties whenever you can
- some milk and dairy foods
- some meat, fish, eggs, beans and other sources of protein and just a small amount of food and drinks high in fat and/or sugar.

Running around playing and having fun uses lots of energy and feels good, so you'll want to have a healthy breakfast in the morning to set you up for the day ahead.
Taking a healthy eating challenge can be a great way to try new food, feel better and have fun! Oh and you might find lots of yummy new food to eat!
